P5 challenges themselves to beat their Big Maths score from last week. We love our Big Maths Beat That Challenges! Especially the catchy music.

This week P5 completed job applications to join one of the 5 departments we have in our enterprise business. We have a very successful meeting today with each of our departments. We can’t wait for you to see our super product!

P6 took part in lots of fun spelling activities this week. We were learning to spell our common words correctly using a range of strategies. We enjoy having the opportunity to choose what fun spelling tasks we would like to complete. This week our options were painting, chalk spelling, iPad spelling and graffiti boards.

P6 practised their keyboard skills this week. We used a keyboard from Garageband on the iPads. We learned how to play ‘Mary Had a Little Lamb’ and had lots of fun letting the rest of the class hear us play.

We love playing the Fruit Salad game.  This week we learned how to travel around the room in different ways and make different shapes with our bodies.

We rounded numbers up to 100 to the nearest 10.  We did this using rounding cups, a rounding race game and a smartboard dart game.

Primary 3/4 practise “Big Maths” every day to help them get quicker at mental maths. They have met some of the characters that will help them along the way!
