Halloween Party P1-3

The children had a great time at the Halloween parties organised by the Parent Council.  Primary 1-3 looked fabulous and enjoyed parading, playing party games and dancing. The winning costumes were two purple minions and a mummy!

Harvest Assembly

On the 9th of October Plains Primary had a Harvest assembly. Weeks before the Harvest assembly we were asked to bring in food for Plains food bank. P6/7 Light Workshop

Primary 6/7 had a very enjoyable and informative trip this week to Summerlee to take part in a light workshop. They were able to investigate light by carrying out a number of experiments and learned a lot from artist, Kenny Bean, about how light is made and manipulated.

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to what looks like another action packed year at Plains Primary School! A special welcome to our Primary 1 pupils and parents. We hope you have an enjoyable time with us.

Hampden Trip: 5th June 2015

We all had a fabulous time visiting Hampden Park.  Our tour guide, Stuart, was very informative (and funny!) We learned a lot of interesting and peculiar facts about football, teams, players and the other users of Hampden Park.  

Hampden Visit

Plains Primary Football Team were delighted to win the quiz at the recent Football Festival.  The prize was a tour round Hampden Park and entrance to the museum. Children from primaries 5,6 and 7 are looking forward to going tomorrow (Friday) and enjoying this treat.  Photos will be posted in the next few days!

cross country competition

On Tuesday 17 February 2015 some of our school took part in a race at Coatbridge Outdoor Centre these are all the people took part. Kaitlyn, Caitlin, Lewis, Connor, Zac, David, Lewis, Leon, Emily, Megan, Jimmy, Tony and Ben  are all the people that took part in the race. It is a big event that schools and children take part in. F.A.R.E Legacy Games

P6/7 are going to be participating in the fare legacy games on 13/03/15 they are also participating in training for these games. The training they are receiving contains 60m sprint 200m sprint 200m baton relay javelin shot-put speed bounce standing long jump They will be picked up by a bus and taken to the emirates arena in Glasgow.  

P3s football tournament

On the 19th of February the P3s of Plains Primary School competed in a football tournament and had fun! They played really well and they won five games! They all got at least four games each and nearly everyone scored. They would all go to it again if they got the chance.
