Loch Awe will be gaining valuable skills for learning, life and work as they begin working with Airdrie Foodbank which operates from Airdrie Baptist Church on Friday mornings. Pupils will visit 4 at a time to see how the foodbank operates and to help prepare the food for families. The proposed dates for this project are: Friday 18th November Friday 2nd December Friday 9th December Friday 16th December Friday 23rd
One of the main aims of CLD is to provide opportunites for parents to be involved in learning with their children. To date most of these opportunities have been during the school day. This is something I am aware of, so in addition to the exciting FM Reading Challenge opportunites next term Mrs Matthews and I will look at the parents’ responses from some of the other CLD work which
The first week of the programme was very exciting, the parents and children thought of lots of great ideas of how to involve everyone in the village in the programme, working parents was one of the groups disscussed. Over the next few weeks the group will contact lots of different people in the village as part of the planning of how can we be involved in the FM Reading
