Curriculum for Excellence aims to provide an improved, more flexible and enriched curriculum for all children and young people from 3 – 18.
Curriculum for Excellence is divided into
four capacities –
to enable each child or young person to be a:
successful learner, responsible citizen,
effective contributor and confident individual.
The main focus is literacy, numeracy and health and wellbeing.
There are regular opportunities for pupils to
apply their skills and learning across the curriculum and
in contexts in and out of the classroom.
Pupils are also given opportunities to develop
skills for learning, life and work.
Learning is divided into levels.
