Loch Tay Homework week beginning 7th March
Spelling
Super spellers have to compile a list using the one syllable word rule and use this to complete spelling and phonics tasks. Due to the football tournament can I please ask that this is not completed until at least Tuesday as it has not been taught yet. Thanks.
Spelling Bees are consolidating ey (money), ea (break) and ou (would). Can the children again compile a list of words using each sound and then use them to complete the phonics task.
Maths
Please use the Hit the Button game again. This time change your focus to division (and you can continue multiplication if you wish)

Topic
We are beginning to learn about a variety of houses and homes across the world and the material that is used to build them. Can you please research one of these and write a paragraph describing the materials and why they are suitable? You can include a picture or a drawing too. This work will be displayed in class. Remember core targets when writing!

The Parent Council would like to sponsor prizes for World Book Day (Thursday 3rd March). Pupils are invited to dress as a book character. A prize will be given to the best girl and best boy costume.
For homework, pupils will be invited to write a book review on a book they have read recently. Pupils who complete a review to the best of their ability, will have it entered into a prize draw. There will be two lucky winners.
