Assessment & Reporting

ASSESSMENT

Children are continuously assessed to ensure that their learning is supported/challenged.

In accordance with NLC policy, a Baseline Assessment in basic literacy and numeracy skills is carried out early in P1.  

 

REPORTING

Two parents’ evenings are held each year, usually in October and April, to discuss children’s progress.

A written report is issued in May.

Parents of pupils with additional support needs may be invited to discuss their child’s progress at review meetings throughout the session.

 

Any parent with concerns over their child’s progress is welcome to contact the school to arrange a mutually convenient time to meet with the class teacher.
