Burns Day activities.

Today in P6/5 we created Scots Dinosaurs.

We used our knowledge of Scots language and suffixes to give ‘oor’ dinosaurs names and write short stories of what they did.

Some examples are:

The Nae Bother O’saurus

The Wee Beltersaurus

The Mingin’ Eejit Dactyl

The Nessie Neep O’raptor

and Wee Bonnie Scary Saurus.

Everyone did really well and hopefully will now be able to blether away using more Scots words tonight!

We also listened to some Burns poetry and discussed what happens at a Burns supper.  Some of us are having Haggis for our dinner tonight.

Below is a link to a recipe that you could use for any left over Haggis you might have and also one for some Scone Pizzas!

Enjoy!
