Our Lady and St. Francis Primary School

Week Ending 23rd February 2018

We had a busy week last week.  On Monday evening we had a beautiful Mass for our children in P3 and P4 who will be receiving Sacraments this year.  Our nursery children visited Primary One for another transition visit and had great fun.  On Friday, we had ‘Rainbow Day’ for our Lenten Charities and a very successful Parent Council Movie Night on Friday night.

Looking to our week ahead, it is Fairtrade Focus week this week.  The dental nurse will be visiting our nursery children on Monday.  On Tuesday, some P6 pupils will be participating in a K’nex Challenge at Taylor High School, and P6 and P7 will be going over to the Grotto for Stations of the Cross with the Legion of Mary and school staff.  On Wednesday, it is the rescheduled Cross Country event at Ravenscraig, and St. Andrew’s Hospice will be speaking at assembly as they are one of our nominated Lenten Charities.  On Friday of next week, it is First Friday mass and this will be followed by a coffee morning organised by P4/5.  As always, we are looking for donations of shop bought cakes and biscuits and raffle prizes.  Friday’s theme is ‘bring your favourite teddy/toy to school’ day.  Please do not send any electronic toys for this.
