On Monday of last week, Motherwell Football Community Coaches visited our school and worked with P6 pupils, who thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  On Tuesday, P6b led a very successful Mass and coffee morning and raised £211 for school funds – well done, boys and girls.  On Wednesday, Taylor High School visited our school and spoke with P7 pupils and parents about life at Taylor High. Two of our senior pupils took part in NLC’s Swimming Competition and did very well!  On Thursday, our nursery and P1 pupils had a visit from the dental nurses as part of the fluoride varnishing programme and on Friday, P7 pupils did very well at a Sportshall Athletics Event at Ravenscraig.

For our week ahead, John Wilson, photographer, will be in school on Wednesday taking pictures of individual and family members.  Full school uniforms for this, please.  As many of you know, the water is being switched off in Carfin from 2pm on Wednesday but this will not affect our service as contingency plans are in place.

On Friday, the winners of last term’s House Points, St. Mary, will be treated to a trip to the Vue Cinema in Hamilton – I bet they can’t wait and that other houses will be trying their best to win this term!
