We had a poppy filled week last week in OLSF! Our children learned lots about the history of the poppy and we finished our week with a one minute’s silence on Friday as a mark of respect.
Our winning house, St. Mary, visited the Vue Cinema on Friday as their treat for being the winning house. They had an absolute ball with Miss McGhee and our lovely parent helpers – many thanks to them for helping out. I received a lovely email from one of the helpers following the trip saying how impressed she was by our lovely children who were absolute superstars and represented our school well.
Looking to our week ahead, practices for our infant nativity and upper school carol concert will begin as we are getting nearer to December. It is ‘Learning Walk’ week, so myself and Miss Lewis will be going on learning walks in the school, popping in to classes to see exactly how well the children are progressing with their learning…. keep an eye on twitter for pictures!
Please remember that Tuesday 15th November is the absolute last date for Christmas card orders – our Parent Council won’t be able to process any orders after this date.
