Our week began last week on Monday with the Scottish Wildlife Trust visiting us at Assembly to tell us about all the great work they do.
On Tuesday, our whole school community attended Mass to celebrate Holy Week.
On Wednesday our P5 pupils began their swimming block and they represented our school well. The P4/5 class then released their fish into the River Clyde in the afternoon and there are some fabulous pictures of this on twitter. Mrs McMahon and Miss McShane also visited our school on Wednesday to tell our children of the fabulous work that the HCPT charity does.
On Wednesday evening it was our Parents’ Evening and we had a tremendous 94% attendance! Please remember to access and complete our survey for reporting formats if you’ve not already done so: surveymonkey.co.uk/r/OLStF2
On Thursday evening, our P6 Pope Francis Faith Award pupils participated in Holy Thursday Mass and candlelight procession at St. Francis Xavier Church. It was a beautiful service and our pupils did us proud!
For our week ahead, our P7 pupils head up north in the morning to Kilbowie Residential Centre, accompanied by Mr Duffy, Mrs Crooks, Miss McGhee and Mrs Shearer.
There will be no First Friday mass this week or coffee morning and it is a 2.30pm finish on Friday. Our school and nursery will then be closed for two weeks for our Spring Break, and will reopen on Monday 18th April 2016.
We hope you all have a well deserved break.
