Well, what a week!
Our P3 pupils made the Sacrament of Reconciliaton on Tuesday evening at St. Francis Xavier’s Church. They all did really well and we are proud of them.
A team of pupils represented our school well at the Cross Country finals on Tuesday morning and did themselves proud.
From Wednesday to Friday, our school was a virtual wonderland and our P5-P7 pupils were absolute stars both on stage and off. The feedback we have received from parents is very positive and our pupils got a lot out of the show. A massive thanks must go to our stars in P6 and P7 who shone on stage, and also to our fabulous P5 choir. Again, I must thank the terrific staff team we have at OLSF for going above and beyond the extra mile to make sure the show was such a successful for our pupils.
Friday saw the last of our Lenten themed Fridays with mad hatters’ day, as you will see from the pictures on our twitter page.
For our week ahead, we are being visited by Scottish Wildlife Trust on Monday at assembly.
Our Primary 5 pupils begin their swimming block on Wednesday morning; a letter has already been issued to P5 parents regarding this.
On Wednesday, our whole school (with the exception of P5) will attend 10am Mass to celebrate Holy Week. Our P6 pupils that are involved in the Pope Francis Faith Award are also involved in the Washing of the Feet on Holy Thursday evening at St. Francis Xavier Church.
Mrs McMahon will visit our school on Wednesday to tell our children about the HCPT charity and all the good work that it does.
Please remember it is Easter weekend and our school and nursery will be closed on Friday and Monday. We wish you all a happy and holy Easter weekend.
Please also remember our P7s go to Kilbowie on Tuesday 29th March and should arrive in school for 830am.
