Week Ending 19th February 2016

On Monday of last week we held our 6-weekly Parent Council Meeting – we are looking for new members, particularly to help with upcoming fundraising events so if you can spare an hour once every six weeks then please contact the School Office for more information.

On Thursday our school was visited by two Continuous Improvement Officers from North lanarkshire Council and two Head Teachers.  They spent time in classes oberving lessons and speaking with children.  They comented most positively on the warm ethos within the school and how eloquent, articulate and confident our children were.  (We already know our children are fab but it was lovely for visitors to recognise this too!)

On Friday it was Crazy Hair Day, and Crazy Hair it was!  Taylor High School Caritas pupils spoke with our children about SCIAF, one of our nominated Lenten charities.  Our cross country team also performed very well whilst representing our school at the cross country competition – well done to all involved!

For our week ahead, tomorrow morning is our enrolment Mass for our P4 First Communicants at 11am in St. Francis Xavier Church at 11am.  Full school uniforms please.

Remember, morning Mass takes place every day from Monday to Thursday at 825am and there has been a great turnout so far and we hope this will continue.

On Friday it is odd socks/shoes day for our Lenten Charities and again remember to send £1 if you can for our Lenten charities.

The Legion of Mary will also begin taking children over to Church on Friday for Stations of the Cross during Lent.

As always, if you have any comments about our blog, please use the ‘comment’ facility at the bottom of the page.
