Old Monkland Primary School & Nursery Class

Our school received a fantastic donation of 2 brand new football kits from a local company called ‘Source: Bio Science’. The kits were presented to the boys and girls by Sarah at this weeks assembly.

Here is this weeks Star of the Week from each class. The boys and girls all received their trophy and Star counter at assembly from Miss McFadden. The winning house this week was Burns house who all received an extra playtime this week. Well done Burns House.

Have a look at Primary 3’s ‘Come and Write’ table. The boys and girls have been choosing to write a range of texts inspired by their IDL topic Knights and Castles.

Three Primary 6 pupils attended the Public Speaking competition at Coatbridge High School. They did our school proud by speaking and performing in front of an audience.

Primary 7 have been working hard on ball skills and possession games in PE. At the end of every session the boys and girls always finish with a game. Here they are demonstrating their competitive side!

Well done to all the boys and girls in Mackintosh house who were this weeks Happy House Winners. The boys and girls in Mackintosh house will receive an extra play for all their hard work.
