Red Nose Day at Old Monkland has been fantastic! We dressed in red, had crazy hair, a red nose hunt, a joke competition, design competitions and a whole school talent show. Mrs. Bradley also came along to be a judge and say goodbye as she moves on to her new job.

The grand total we raised today by the school and nursery was £353.90!!! Thank you to all of our parents and families who helped to raise this fantastic amount for a worthwhile cause.

Mrs. Savage’s Retirement Assembly

Yesterday we celebrated the retirement of Mrs. Savage, who was a classroom assistant in our school for over 10 years. The boys and girls sang songs and shared some fond memories of Mrs Savage. We wish her a happy and relaxing retirement.

Primary 7 Art & Design

As part of their Interdisciplinary Topic on Japan, Primary 7 have been learning to draw and design their own Kimono’s. They used pencil to draw out the template and its designs. They then used oil pastels to decorate and add colour. Take a look at some of our fantastic work in progress.
