Congratulations to this weeks “Stars of the Week’. They have all been working very hard in class and around the school. The boys and girls were presented with their trophy and Star Counter by Miss Grant at assembly this week.

Primary 4/5 love exercising and keeping fit in P.E. They use lots of games and activities to keep their bodies fit and healthy.

As part of our Katie Morag topic, some of our Grandparents joined us on Friday afternoon for a ‘Grandparent Celebration Tea’. We loved hearing stories about their time at school and what their favourite hobbies were. We also enjoyed the treats and juice at the end!

Friday 27th November October 2017 will be a Non-Uniform Day.

Children should bring a £1 donation to school and wear ‘Happy House’ colours.

Please remember that out Non – Uniform Days that will take place throughout the year are all noted in the ‘Happy House Explained’ booklet issued to all pupils at the beginning of term.

A reminder for our parents and families that the school and nursery will be closed next week for the October Holiday and will reopen to all children on Monday 23rd October. We wish all of our pupils and families a well earned break.

The school photographer will be in school on Monday 23rd October to take individual Primary 1 photographs and Primary 1-7 whole class groups.

The photographer will return to school later in the year to take all individual, sibling and family group photographs.

The boys and girls in Primary 1 have been learning all about ‘The Commotion in the Ocean’. The Primary 7’s worked with their little buddies to create sea creatures for the class display.

The boys and girls in Primary 7 have been learning about Estimation, Measuring and creating graphs. As part of their WW2 topic, they designed and created their own ‘Bomber Planes’. We then estimated how far they would fly before testing them and measuring how far they flew. We then collated our information into a bar graph.

The Primary 7 House Captains completed the weekly house count. The winning house was Burns House. The boys and girls in Burns house received an extra playtime on Friday.
