Old Monkland Primary School & Nursery Class

The boys and girls in Old Monkland enjoyed participating a lots of games and activities for BBC Children In Need. Our school and nursery class raised a huge £679.40. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our families for their support.

A reminder to parents that school and nursery is closed on Monday and will reopen on Tuesday 20th November.

Primary 4 have been learning all about 3D shapes. They went on a hunt around the school to find some real life 3D shapes.

The Primary 7’s recently applied for the position of Happy House Captains and vice captains. Each member of staff voted  and the boys and girls were presented with their captain hats and badges at assembly.

Primary 4 have been learning all about Ancient Egypt. In class, they used a variety of resources to create their own pyramids.

Old Monkland Primary had a visit from a local Karate club. Each class spent a P.E block working with the instructor on some of the skills and techniques in Karate.

Primary 1 have been working hard all about different shapes. They have been playing games and designing their own robots made from different shapes.

A reminder to parents Snapshot Jotters should be returned to school by Friday 9th November. Pupils and Parents should complete the jotter evaluation sheet before returning to school.
