Old Monkland Primary School & Nursery Class

The boys and girls in Primary 4, 5/6 and 6/7 enjoyed their Burns Supper to celebrate the life of Robert Burns. The children tasted some traditional Scottish foods, read some poems and took part in Scottish Country Dancing.

Primary 2 have been working hard on their Numeracy skills. They have been playing games on Sundog to practice the skills they have been learning in class.

This Primary 7 boy has been working hard learning to play the guitar. He performed some of the songs he has been learning to the rest of the class.

Primary 6/7 used their knowledge of money and budgeting to plan a Burns Supper. They were given a budget and had to calculate the exact cost of their event.

OMPS Handbook 2019

Primary 2 had fun making sandwiches as part of their Interdisciplinary learning for ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch.  They also made their sandwiches into 2D shapes.

Primary 6/7 have been learning all about W.W.2. We used card and our problem solving skills to create our own 3D gas masks.
