Old Monkland Primary School & Nursery Class

Primary 7 have arrived at the Green Welly on the road to Kilbowie.

We had another fantastic turnout at our recent Showcase Learning Afternoon. The parents spent time in the classroom before Miss McFadden gave them an update on new initiatives which are taking place within the school.

Primary 5/6 have been astronaut training for their STEM topic. We created our own designs for a rover to cross Mars and then designed a group rover that had to be able to collect samples and have a camera. We are looking forward to creating our designs with K’nex.

The boys and girls in P6/7 have been working hard on their Fitness and Tennis skills.

Our Primary 6 boys attended the Coatbridge High School Maths Challenge competition. The boys performed fantastically well coming in 1st place. A huge congratulations to our fantastic team.

Some of the children in P5/6 have been creating a paper chain from scrap paper. They are attempting to break the World Record. So far, the paper chain is the length of the whole corridor.
