Hi Everyone ,

It has been a very busy week with news that staff will gradually be able to go back into our School and Nursery in June to start to prepare the building as required to meet Health and Safety and Social Distancing guidelines.

We will be in touch with you all as soon as we have clear and accurate plans for some transition visits/activities for new P.1 and P7Β  later in June and obviously with regard to groupings / staffing for August .

We also intend to get both Nursery and School Progress Reports to you as soon as possible.

Thank you all again for the efforts in supporting home learning . It has been really nice to see and hear from lots more of you through Class Teams.

I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather and are having a lovely time being able to see some friends and family members , even if only outdoors, two metres apartΒ  and in small numbers for now.

Have a lovely weekend everyone , keep safe

Miss McFadden x

P7 29.5.20

What a day! I hope you are all doing well.

Today is the first day of the easing of lockdown and a sign that we are slowly moving towards returning to our favourite activities with our friends.

I found this picture which explains in more detail about the Phase 1 of easing lockdown, I thought you might like to see it.

Teams

It has been so nice to hear from some of you on Teams. It’s not too late to join us! If you would like help getting set up, please let me or Mr Henderson know. Next week we hope to start some more leavers tasks and would love to hear your thoughts over on Teams!

Have a fantastic weekend and I will be in touch on Monday with some more leavers activities!

Primary 3/4 – 29.5.20

Hello Primary 3/4

I hope you have had a great week and have enjoyed trying some of the activities on your Home Learning Grids. It has been great to hear from some of you on Microsoft Teams and I have really enjoyed sharing learning with you! A big thank you to you and whoever is helping you at home for your effort this week on Teams πŸ™‚ Remember if you have not managed to get onto Microsoft Teams yet you can leave a comment below or email Miss McFadden or Mr Henderson and someone will be able to help you get all set up πŸ™‚

Sumdog

Well done to those of you who took the time to complete the Addition and Subtraction assessment on Sumdog this week. I was super impressed with your scores! As this was an assessment and not a challenge or competition there are no winners this but I am very proud of each and every one of you. Also a big well done to those of you who completed our Spelling Challenge. The top 3 in the challenge this week were Aaron, Enya and Robyn – well done πŸ™‚ Look out for a little reward from me later on today!

Things to look forward to jar

Last week I posted a Health and Wellbeing activity grid as part of Mental Health Week. I have been trying out some of the activities myself. One thing I have been working on is making a ‘Things to look forward to’ jar to keep happy and positive during this time. I found an empty jar and have been writing little notes of things I am looking forward to doing when I get the chance. I cannot wait to use it! I have not decorated the jar yet but I thought maybe you could give me some ideas? I wonder if any of you have made something similar? If you have I would love to hear about it or hear about any of the other activities you have tried πŸ™‚ You can see my jar and an example of what I wrote inside it below:

I hope you have a nice day and a super weekend. Enjoy some of the lovely sunshine!
