OLD MONKLAND NURSERY CLASS
AUGUST 2020 – WELCOME

Dear Parent/ Guardians

On behalf of the Nursery Team, I would like to warmly welcome our new and returning children and families. We look forward to working in partnership with you in the coming session to ensure your child gets the best possible start to their learning and development within our Nursery setting.

Our Nursery Class is now a MIXED MODEL meaning we offer full days in Term time or AM/PM sessions over 48 weeks. For now the arrangements issued in your letter in June are still accurate. We will let you know any changes to these in line with advice from NLC.

 

The closure period and procedures for a safe return to Nursery means things may be very different for a while.

• Parents are asked to enter school grounds via the Nursery Path behind the school building ONLY
• NO adults are allowed within the school playground or Staff Car Park
• Appointments have to be made via the telephone should these be required
• White arrows are on the path indicating a KEEP LEFT system and we ask that adults adhere to 2m social distancing when using the path and waiting to drop off/collect their children
• We appreciate drop off and collection is not ideal but please be reassured staff will do their utmost to make your child’s experience at Nursery as natural as possible and we would not hesitate to contact you if your child was at all distressed or did not settle
• Staff will greet your child at the Nursery entrance
• Staff will sign your child in to Nursery and ask who will be collecting each day
• Please provide a full change of clothes in your child’s bag in case they need it. This should be taken home daily.
• Children will all be provided with a Lunch and snack throughout their session.
• We will be calling all of our new start parents to see if we can arrange a visit for you prior to your start date
• We will issue a further update on Staffing and Nursery Routines as soon as possible

Wed, Thurs, Fri -PM Session       12.45- 5pm
