Each year, every school creates an Annual Improvement Plan (sometimes referred to as an AIP) and an Annual Improvement Report (sometimes referred to as an AIR)
The Annual Improvement Plan (AIP) is created by our school to make things better for our learners, staff and families. It helps our school community to work together to achieve our goals. Some previous goals have been improving reading, numeracy or the skills we feel our learners need to be successful in life, learning and work. These goals may be planned to be achieved over one or more sessions. The plan also gives the steps/activities we feels will be needed to achieve these goals/targets. The plan is based on data, assessments and feedback from our community and it helps everyone stay focused on making our school a great place for learners to be safe, respected and achieving!
At the end of each session, we produce an Annual Improvement Report (AIR). This is a summary that shows how our school is doing and what progress we are making toward the goals set out in our Annual Improvement Plan (AIP). It’s a great way to share how we’ve been achieving! It shares important information such as our attainment levels, attendance and the progress made on our specific targets for this session. This then helps to inform our next steps and our Annual Improvement Plan for the session ahead.
