Welcome to Learning Tree Eco Team!!
Welcome to the Learning Tree Eco Team! We are looking forward to a productive and enjoyable session!
This term our focus will be on The Rights of a Child, and in particular, Article 29, which states that: Your education should help you use and develop your talents and abilities. It should also help you learn to live peacefully, protect the environment and respect other people.
Your child will have the opportunity to work in the school garden every week as part of this commitment to protect our own school environment, and develop our talents and abilities.
In order to enjoy the outdoor experience fully, your child should bring old clothes (warm and dry as we are out in all weathers), wellies or boots and a water bottle. These items can be kept on your child’s peg through the week, and worn home for washing if required, on Learning Tree day.
We try to ensure that every child has the opportunity to be outdoors, however if they have forgotten their kit, appropriate activities linked to our focus may be undertaken within the classroom.
