Oak-Term House Winners
Oak House won the first house competition, accumulating the most points from September to December. As their reward, pupils in Oak House only, will visit the Showcase Cinema on the morning of Friday 11th January. Pupils should wear uniform and bring a snack. Pupils in Oak House have received a text to let parents know they will be going on this visit. Well done Oak! Points have now been reset
Visit to Wishaw General Hospital
The staff (and Santa!) from the children’s ward at Wishaw General were over the moon with all the toy hampers they received from the P2 children today! Thank you again for all the generous donations! Mrs Ross and Miss Conlon 😊 Some patients enjoyed singing from our senior choir and from representatives from the P1-2 Nativity. Thank you Santa for the surprise presents the children received on their visit!

Well done to all the children in P1 and P2 for their excellent performances in the “Inn-spectors” Infant Nativity Play. You were all stars! The staff did a great job too!

Nursery application process
Applications for free nursery places in session 2019/2020 can now be submitted. Children attending nursery establishments in North Lanarkshire are eligible to start nursery in line with the following:- Children who reach 3 years of age between 1 March 2019 and 13 August 2019 can start nursery on 14 August 2019 Children who reach 3 years of age between 14 August 2019 and 29 February 2020 can start
Nativity Play Reminders
The Nursery Nativity performances for parents and carers is at 10.30am and 2.30pm on Friday 14th December. Audience members should come to the front door. Please note that you will not be admitted to the school building until after 10am as there is an assembly on and the foyer needs to remain empty for the pupils to be dismissed from this safely. CHRISTMAS PARTY DATES 11th Dec pm- P2 12th Dec pm- P7 13th Dec pm-P6 17th Dec pm-P1 18th Dec pm-P5 19th Dec pm P3/4 All school parties are in the afternoon. 1.20-3pm as usual. 20th Dec am and pm- Nursery Lunchtime arrangements– Lunchtime normally starts at 12.30pm, but we are aware that some parents may wish to take their children home for lunch to get ready for the party.
Toy Sale
Well done to P3 and P5 for organising the toy sale for school funds and St Andrew’s Hospice. A total of £755 was raised!
