Thursday Writing instructions

Today I would like you to write a set of instructions about how to look after your pet. If you don’t have a pet just pretend you have one and do a little research to see what would be involved in looking after it. I have included an example for inspiration and a checklist of the genre features you should aim to include.

The standard of writing  last week was excellent so let’s see who will be our star writers this week! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I will announce them tomorrow on our catch up call.

Thursday Thunk

I thought I’d include a Thunk as part of our literacy today. Remember a thunk is a question which makes you think carefully and sometimes see the world in a different way.

Thunk for the day

  1. What colour would a zebra be if it lost its stripes? 🤔🦓

  2. Is it ok to be different?

Remember there are no right or wrong answers just think about it carefully and then share your thoughts.

Thursday Maths- Interpreting Graphs

Today we will be looking at different graphs to see how well you can understand and interpret the data provided in them.

Make sure you are looking carefully at the graphs so that your answers are accurate.

As always I will post the answers this afternoon so you can self assess before you send me your work.

Thursday- Fairtrade Fortnight

As part of our fairtrade fortnight tasks I would like you to do some research this afternoon.

Maybe you could use your research to help other people in your household understand the importance of buying fairtrade goods when we can.

When you have finished your research see if you can design an eye opening poster encouraging people to buy fairtrade.

Word of the Day for Wednesday

The word for today is ‘exuberant’. I wonder if any of you can guess why I chose this word?

Just a reminder that Mrs Cowie from Our Lady’s High School will be joining our class catch up at 11am on Teams.
