RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch
This week at Holytown Primary and Nursery this week we will all be taking part in the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch and you can too. Weather permitting the school children will do this on Friday during assembly, with the nursery doing as part of their normal session across the week. In preparation we will be making sure our bird feeders are filled up. As you know over the past few years we have been looking at improving our playground and hope this year to make improvements to our Wildlife Garden at the school entrance.
Now it is your turn to join in and help us find out if our hard work is paying off. We would ask you to take part in the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch which run between 27th – 29th January 2018.
All it takes is an hour and all you have to do is simply watch the birds in your garden or local park, then fill in the form to tell the RSPB what you see. The Big Garden Birdwatch gives the RSPB an astonishing amount of information about how the wildlife is fairing e.g. what is thriving, and what’s under threat and then they can find out why.
All results of your bird watch should be submitted by 13th February, you can do this by placing your form in an envelope and addressing it to Freepost BIG GARDEN BIRD WATCH. Or you can enter you results online at rspb.org.uk/birdwatch. The RSPB will summaries the information and announce the results of the Big Garden Bird Watch by 28th March.

We are currently open!
Latest news from NLC is that schools are expected to be open. Staff are currently trying to make their way in.
Unless children are coming to the Breakfast Club they should not come before 8.45am.
Please drop off and collect children from the main door today. Wrap up warm and staff safe!

We are open!
We are open this morning. Please be careful as the roads around the school have quite a lot of snow on them. Not all gates are open in order to ensure we have safe routes in, please use the main gate where possible.
Please do not send your child to school before 8.45am (unless they are attending the breakfast club) as there is no supervision in the building or playground
