On Friday 9th September, Primary 1 – 3 pupils from Holytown Primary School & Christ THe King Primary School will have an opportunity to see ‘The Magic of Road Safety’. This is the 6th year the show has toured schools in North Lanarkshire.
The show is performed by the award winning AllansMagic who are professional magical entertainers from the North East of Scotland. Since 2007, AllansMagic has been working closely with Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City Council’s School Travel planning Initiatives and Grampian Police Road Safety unit devising and presenting a magic show that will educate and reinforce the important message of road safety to Primary 1-3 children.
The show has been developed to present key issues of road safety in a magical and entertaining way. The key messages include:
The importance of wearing a high visibility jacket
- “magic works” STOP – LOOK – LISTEN and THINK and what they mean
- Choosing safe places to cross the road
- Importance of wearing a helmet when riding your bike
- Using a Pelican crossing – red man/green man
We are sure this will be really enjoyable for all pupils as well help ensure all our children are safe.
