Our 50th Anniversary Garden Party will take place on Friday 10th June. Details about the day will follow shortly in a letter. We look forward to celebrating with you.
Moodiesburn Gala Help
Glenmanor Primary School will have a stall at the Mooodiesburn Gala Day on the 11th June. The parade will start at the Knights of Saint Columba Club at 11:15 am.
We would like help for one of the games in our stall. See information below;
- Bottle raffle – A selection of bottle bags are placed on a table. Under the bottle bag there will be a variety of prizes from ‘good’ prizes – alcohol, smellies to ‘bad’ prizes – bottles of water, table sauces, etc. Each participant will get 1 shot for £1. They get a ‘prize’ every time – though that depends on what kind of prize!
Need: We need bottle bags and a selection of different kinds of bottles less ‘good’ prizes are needed as we don’t want everybody to win a good prize all the time!
Please hand donations in to the school office. Thank you.

P2 have completed their research about recycling and have written their final draft of a persuasive letter to family. Here is a display of all their hard work!

Battleships – our co ordinates knowledge is definitely a HIT!
Today we were learning about co ordinates. We used our knowledge to play some active maths games! Battleships was the favourite choice!

Literacy in the sunshine
p4/5 took their active literacy outdoors today and enjoyed some partner reading, note taking and some metalinguistics in the sunshine!
P2 Complete their Bug Hotel plans and models!
The boys and girls in P2 finished the plans for their class Bug Hotel and some even made a model of it using lego while others made felt butterflies to decorate the Bug Hotel!
Gardening in the Sunshine ☀️
P1a enjoyed carrying out some gardening maintenance last week. Mrs Green helped groups of children to weed in the sensory garden whilst other children read books about plants and gardening and swept the garden.

Online Payments
Dear Parents/ Carers
I have had a few enquiries from parents of P1-3 pupils asking if their child requires an online account if they do not pay for their lunch. I contacted the online payments office and they have said yes you should still go ahead and create an account. They said:
“Parents should set up their account, because although P1-3 get free school meals, parents will be able to see what the children have had for lunch. They can also add funds for snacks or breakfast club (if you have one). Also, when they are set up they will be able to use their account for school payments and it is one account if they have children in the upper school too.”
Hope this clarifies the position.
