School Improvement

Priorities are decided on an annual basis through a  series of self-evaluation and monitoring.  Copies of the School Improvement Plan and School Improvement Report are available on request at the school office.  We issue a summary to parents on an annual basis.

Our priorities

Our identified priorities for session 2021-22 were as follows. These will be reviewed at the end of the session to set new priorities for 2022-23.

New priorities for session 2022-23 will be set in May 2022  to take forward from August 2022.

School Improvement Plan Priorities  2021/2022

Cluster Priority

  • Improve outcomes for children via implementation of the GIRFEC Pathway for Planning and Support refresh
  • Establishment of Integrated Cluster Wellbeing Teams and Bases.
  • Establish a digital pedagogy across all stages of the curriculum, which engages learners and delivers a high-quality learning experience for all children and young people.

School Priority 1

School Priority 2

  • Further improve and support the mental, social, emotional, and physical health of all children, families and staff by embedding and extending the range of nurture based approaches across the school

School Priority 3

  • To ensure continued equity of access and opportunity for maximising learning in the broad general education.

Nursery Class Priority

  • To continue to extend nurturing approaches to support and improve the mental, physical and emotional wellbeing of our children and families as part of the Covid -19 recovery and the move to 1140.

 

  • External Inspections

Care Inspectorate carried out a low-intensity inspection of our nursery class on 31 October and 4 November 2014. The Inspectorate carry out these inspections when they are satisfied that the services are working hard to deliver consistently high standards of care. Our report was very positive and will be published very soon.

Officers from North Lanarkshire Council Learning and Leisure Services visited Glenmanor on 21 May 2013 to look at how the school had continued to improve its work since the HMIe Inspection and their report is attached below for your information.

Report on Progress Following Visit of HMIe 21 May 2013

HMIe inspected Glenmanor in the week beginning 24 May 2010. It was a positive inspection and the report was published on 24 August 2010 and is attached below.

Officers from North Lanarkshire Council Learning and Leisure Services visited Glenmanor to undertake a School Improvement Visit in 2008.
