We loved choosing new Golden Time toys with our money from the Parent Council. Thanks so much, we love them!

The festivities continue for the senior choir with a visit to Moodiesburn Church. They sang a couple of their favourite carols along with St Michael’s Primary choir and heard from the Reverend Mark McKeown and Father Michael about “The baby who brought a crowd.”
This event will be held in the SCHOOL HALL on Thursday 14th December. ALL choir members from both Mrs Cobbin’s JUNIOR choir and Mrs MacGregor’s SENIOR choir should meet in the learning kitchen from 6.00pm onwards for a 6.30pm start. Mince pies and tea/coffee will be served for adults at the back of the hall. The carol service should last between 45 minutes and one hour. There is no charge for this event and we are asking that as many choir children attend as possible. Children should wear their school uniform but can feel free to wear Christmas jumpers and headwear.
All parents, carers and family members will be made very welcome. Please feel free to join us for this event to get you in the Christmas spirit!

Some of the senior choir did our school proud yesterday when they sang Christmas carols in Braehead Shopping Centre. They sang their hearts out! Thanks to parents and family members for coming along to support us.
Today, we perfected our Eco Song. We plan to teach it to the rest of the school at Friday’s Leadership assembly. Do you recognise the tune?
🎵”We could change this whole school well don’t you know
Walk to school, clear the litter, switch the lights off and away we go
I’m just a kid and I’d like you to know
Grow some plants, care for creatures, raise awareness cos’ we know
Glenmanor is talking ’bout my Health and Wellbeing and caring for the school, conserving energy
And I’m right over here singing all that I know
Sing, we could change this school in a moment
Come on let’s go!
We can change this school in a moment
Come on let’s go!
We can change this school in a moment
Come on let’s go!” 🎵
During the last few weeks, the newly formed Eco Committee have been working hard during Leadership Academy to begin our journey towards achieving Eco School status. We began by carrying out an ‘Environmental Review’ in order to identify the needs of our school. Some of the older children created our new Eco Logo and incorporated the school badge into it. Stay tuned for some pictures of our committee tomorrow!
Children are invited to dress down on Friday 24 November to support our Christmas Fayre. We ask that children bring a donation of cake and candy, tombola or a ‘fancy goods’ item.
Many thanks for your anticipated support.
