We have been working hard on our perseverance skills to aim over the volleyball net to our partner on the other side. Some of us are getting the hang of it!
Primaries 4/5 and 5/6 enjoyed a joint PE session today as they were introduced to the concept of Target Games. After discussing this with the pupils and having a warm up, Mrs Fisher and I decided to introduce a baton relay. This was to reinforce the importance of concentration and hand and eye co-ordination. All pupils really enjoyed this and we found that their existing skills were very good and so future lessons will concentrate on developing and refining their knowledge and skills even further. An exciting block of Target Games ahead for us all!
Today in P.E we tried to perfect our volley skills using the volleyball net! It was really tricky but we used our concentration and determination skills to improve.
This week P1 were learning to be creative whilst performing balances. They had to perform a balance on a different body part in each hoop.
Blue hoop – one leg balance
Yellow hoop – balance on knees
Red hoop – balance on hands and feet
I liked that you were creative and managed to hold each balance.
Primary 4 enjoyed another input from the football coach this afternoon! ⚽
Today we were lucky enough to have a football coach to teach us during gym time. Cammy the coach taught us some dribbling and shooting skills and we built upon our team-work skills from last term by taking part in a team football game.

We are all very excited for our badminton after school club that will begin today (Wednesday28/09). Everyone who returned their slip has been allocated a space but this means our club is now full. Look out for photographs to follow soon.
In joint gym today, the boys and girls completed an assault course in teams and each member had to collect a puzzle piece. The team had to wait until all members were back home before using their communication and problem solving skills to complete the puzzle. All children tried very hard to be good team players. Well done!
