I am delighted to enclose your child’s interim report for the current school session. If your child has an additional support plan this has also been included. We are keen to hear what you and your child think of the interim report (and additional support plan if appropriate) and a feedback from has been enclosed for this purpose. Could you complete and return this form by 25 November please?
Your child’s interim report provides an overview of how your child is settling into their new class. You will notice that we have given you some feedback on how your child is progressing in each of the 8 curriculum for excellence areas, where possible. The 3 core curriculum areas of Languages, Mathematics and Health and Wellbeing are taught continuously throughout the session. However, the other 5 curriculum areas are taught at different times during this session. These areas will be will be commented on in the full report, which will be issued on 24 June 2016.
You will be aware of the current curriculum level your child is working within from the interim report. There is a progression in learning through the curriculum for excellence levels, and this progression is explained in the table below –

Early | The pre-school years and P1 or later for some. |
First | To the end of Primary 4, but earlier or later for some. |
Second | To the end of Primary 7, but earlier or later for some. |
Third and Fourth | S1 to S3, but earlier for some.
The fourth level broadly equates to SCQF level 4. |
Senior Phase | S4 – S6 and college or other means of study. |
