Glenmanor Nursery
The whole community of Glenmanor Nursery has created the following vision and values for our nursery:

In order to achieve our vision we will:

- Promote a sense of pride in our nursery, creating an environment where learning is fun, where children feel happy, and are able to recognise their valuable contribution to the life of the nursery.
Glenmanor Primary
At Glenmanor Primary, Our Aspirational Vision is that everyone will be successful in learning, be confident, be a good citizen and be able and willing to contribute.

We recognise that we cannot achieve our vision and promote our values alone. We, therefore, work in close partnership with our pupils, parents, and members of the Moodiesburn community and beyond to raise achievement for all.
Various methods are used to keep pupils, parents and community members fully informed about what is happening in our school. These methods range from holding committee meetings, leading weekly assemblies, communicating through regular newsletters, SMS messaging and our school website to leading curriculum evenings, workshops, open days, displays of knowledge, school community events and parent council meetings.
We operate an open-door policy at Glenmanor, so feel free to pop in at any time and you will always be welcome. We look forward to working in partnership with you to deliver a Curriculum for Excellence for the 21st Century.
Spiritual, Social, Moral and Cultural Values
At Glenmanor Primary, we develop pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural values in accordance with the Council’s policies on religious education and religious observance.
Religious education is taught in each primary stage, using a variety of resources. We aim to help pupils be aware of beliefs, values, attitudes, and practices in a range of religious faiths, thus encouraging religious tolerance.
Religious observance is led by Moodiesburn Parish Church Minister, Mr. Mark McKeown, the senior management team or pupils. Friday assemblies allow for many different celebrations of success and also whole school launches of new initiatives. At the end of term service, we create opportunities for whole school participation and all parents and friends are warmly invited.
All religious beliefs are respected and Parents/Carers can exercise their right to withdraw their child from religious education or observance, by writing to the Head Teacher. This is in line with the Council Policy and National Advice. Any such pupil will not be placed at a disadvantage with respect to secular instruction.
Parents/carers from ethnic minority religious communities may request that their children be permitted to be absent from school in order to celebrate recognised religious events. Only written requests will be considered. Appropriate requests will be granted on not more than three occasions in any one school session and the pupil noted as an authorised absentee in the register.
