Glencryan School

Christmas Activities

This year we realise that Christmas will not be as it usually is for everyone so Mrs Rowe has tried to make things as festive as possible in the school so all the pupils can get in the spirit……from Tuesday 1st December Glencryan is in Christmas Mode!

We are encouraging Christmas dress as often as pupils and staff like during December so please feel free to wear Christmas jumpers, T-Shirts, hats, accessories etc as often as you like between now and the holidays.

Glencryan will be visited by its very own Elf On The Shelf every day until the holidays. The pupils will have to look out and try and spot him each day as he hides in different areas of the school.

As we did at Halloween each class is decorating their door with a festive scene. With a winning door from each department.

Every pupil will be designing a Christmas card to send to Mrs Rowe. She will choose a winning design from each department.

Our Christmas Lunch is on Wednesday 9th December as we shared with you last week.

On Thursday 10th and Friday 11th of December pupils will be having Breakfast with Santa! Our Life Skills pupils who work in the Bistro will organise a snack breakfast for pupils and staff to enjoy in the school hall with a very special guest! Classes will be notified individually of which date they are going.

On Tuesday 15th we have a special live interactive performance of “The Wizard of Oz” from M&M Theatre. We will have one cast member in school while the rest appear live on screen…oh yes they will!

Finally we have our Christmas parties on Friday 18th. Parties will be held in class bubbles so will be smaller than usual but fun never the less!

It is going to be a busy December but we hope all the pupils will enjoy the festive activities we have planned. Merry Christmas everyone!
