FREE SCHOOL MEALS FOR ALL FIRPARK SECONDARY PUPILS
In line with the Scottish Government update ’12th April 2023′ around the eligibility criteria for free school meals for pupils in primaries 1 to 5. This will now include all pupils attending an ‘Additional Support Needs School’. Therefore, all pupils in ASN schools will receive a free school meal at lunchtime.
If your child would like a snack or drink from the canteen at break time as well as a school lunch they can purchase the additional food / drink using money on their account.
Diluting juice and water are always available free of charge.
Clothing Grants
You may be entitled to apply for a clothing grant if your child attends a North Lanarkshire school. The application portal for free school meals and clothing grants is now live. Parents/carers can apply through the council website.
For session 2025-2026 the clothing grant is:
£155 for primary school pupils
£180 for secondary pupils
Payment will be made by BACS payment directly into your bank/building society account.
