Firpark Secondary is a health promoting school and we have achieved our Gold Award for health promotion. This means we encourage pupils to make healthy choices during the school day at break time and lunch time. Parents are asked not to supply sugary fizzy drinks and sweets as part of packed lunches or snacks. There is a wide range of healthy options available in the dining room. Cashless system in operation.
All school lunches are made on the premises and there is a mixture of hot and cold meals available as well as soup and sandwiches.
There are two sittings for lunch one for S1-S3 and one for senior pupils and these alternate weekly. The pupils line up, collect their trays and order their lunch. They then choose a drink and dessert, and pay for their meal at the till. The cost of school lunch is detailed on the next page.
Alternatively children can have packed lunches and they will also eat these in the lunch hall.
If your son/daughter has special dietary requirements or allergies please let us know and fill out the special dietary form below.
In the morning rolls, toast and milk are available to buy from the canteen and there is a Free Breakfast club available from 8.30am each morning in the blue area.
