Measure

Here we are creating posters about what we already know about measure for our new maths learning.

Here are some of our facts…

Angus R – A metre is 100cm.

Brooke- We can use metre sticks to measure.

Ben- You can use a measuring tape.

Jake – The metric units of measure are kilometres, metres and centimetres.

Rachel- There are some we don’t learn in Primary school like inches and miles.

This is the imperial system which was used around 45 years ago.

Now we are off outside to use some tools for measuring different things in the playground.

  1. I enjoyed running a kilometre today and hope to run even more next time. I also want to learn how long a yard is.
