Time

We are starting to explore time in Maths. Today we done a quiz on time to see what we already know. Here are some facts we already know:

Emma: “There two types of clocks. One is called digital and the other is analogue.”

Anya: ” There are 60 minutes in an hour and 24 hours in a day.”

Cameron: ” There are 48 hours in two days.”

Jack: ” There 60 seconds in a minute.”

Heather: “You use bus timetables when you are getting the bus.”

Rudi: “You have a time you have to be back home at night.”

Cate: ” You use a watch or an alarm clock to get you to work on time.”

Julia: “You need to know the time if there is somewhere you have to be by a certain time.”

Dil: ” You can see the time on your digital watch, tv, phone, oven, buses, microwave and more.”

  1. Telling the time can be quite tricky – especially minutes to the hour on an analogue clock. It sounds like you already know a lot about time, though.

  2. Wow! You already know so much about time! Primary Two are doing time as well so if you have a brother or sister in my class try teaching them something new about telling the time!
