A super week

This week we have been learning about halves and quarters. We have started a new topic about Australia. We all found Australia using the Map App on the iPads. This afternoon we went outside and enjoyed our apples on our new picnic tables.

What a week in P1/2!

We have been practising our lines and song words all week for our Assembly. Miss Smith and Miss Wallace were very proud of our performance today.

We have been listening and dancing to 1960’s music. The twist and the mash potato song have been such fun! Records make music but now we have ipods. There were radios in the 60’s but we have them today.

A rocking week in P1/2

This week we have loved working with Royal Rockstars. We have been learning new rock songs and finding out about rock music. Nieve liked shaking her hair when she heard the guitars. Riley’s favourite song is Let’s All Be Friends. Calum H enjoyed the rock version of One Direction. We have all had so much fun! In the classroom we have been working hard on subtraction. We are looking forward to our rock concerts next week and starting a new topic.

Our Visit to Chryston Church

Today we went to visit Mr Malcolm at the church. It was to see and listen to Mr Malcolm, to show us how a baby is christened. We went with Mrs White, Mrs Rae and Mrs Allan and Primary 1. The church is really close to our school, and we had a fun and safe to it. At the church it was really fun because Mr Malcolm rang the church bells for us. Neve in Primary 1 even got to pull the rope the ring the bell. Then we went inside the church and sat down on the pews at the front of the church. Once we were sitting nicely we watched a cartoon about a christening. After that Katie, Lewis (P1) and Laya acted out what happens at a baptism. It was a really fun afternoon!
