This week we have been learning about tens and units. We have practised counting in multiples of 10. We learned a new game to help us practise tens and units. We needed to use playing cards with a partner to make the biggest number that we could.
Niamh – Our new game helped me with my maths.
Rhys – It helped me with my tens and units.
Adam – I really liked the game because I could pick different cards and it helped me.
Jason – I liked this game because I kept winning. I won every match.
Your game looks like lots of fun! I wonder what is the biggest number you could make with two cards?
Thank you for commenting on our blog. Rhys says the biggest number we can make is 99.
Well done Rhys! Come and see me when you read this and I might have a sticker for you!!
Fabulous work Primary 2! Only last year at this time you were learning to write your numbers.
You are making numbers up to 99 already . I am very impressed with your counting and place value.
