We have been very busy learning all about measurement in class. We have investigated length, weight and capacity. We learned lots of new words to help us with our measuring.
We used lots of resources to measure length around the class. We really enjoyed using the building blocks to measure how how tall and small things are…
The we moved on to weight where we used the pan scales to explore heavy, light and balanced. We used real weights that had grams on them too, it was great fun!
Finally we learned about capacity. This is how much something can hold. We used words like full, half full, nearly empty and empty. Using the water was amazing but very messy so we learned to be gentle when pouring too…
