Visiting Chryston Cafe

Today as part of our learning in numeracy and maths we went on a visit to Chryston Cafe to have a real experience of spending money. The school gave us each £1 to spend. We walked to the cafe in the afternoon and when we got there Christine had juice ready for us all.  She took groups of us on a tour of the cafe. We got to see the kitchen and got to go behind the counter. After that we all got to buy something and really enjoyed eating our goodies.  Some of us even came back with some change and we used our money learning to find out how much change we had altogether. We want to say thank you to Christine and the other ladies at Chryston Cafe for spoiling us.

  1. From learning about money, setting up your own class café to actually visiting a café and spending some real money. Looks like a fun afternoon and a great way to practice your money skills.
