Rights Respecting School

The UNICEF UK Rights Respecting School Award (RRSA) is based on principles of equality, dignity, respect, non-discrimination and participation. The RRSA seeks to put the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child at the heart and develop every child’s talents and abilities to their full potential.

A Rights Respecting School is a community where children’s rights are learned, taught, practised, respected, protected and promoted.

At Condorrat Primary and Nursery School we have already undertaken excellent work on Children’s Rights and this year and we will be building on this to work towards achieving reaccreditation at Silver level.

One of our recent ‘Articles of the Month’ was in association with World Earth Day.  P4/5G looked at all the different ways they help the environment and discussed what else they could do to help!  They had great fun creating these mini posters with hints and tips to encourage people to take care of the planet!

Have a look at some of our fantastic class charters!  We have also recently created our school digital, sports and playground charters.
