First day arrangements for our new S1 pupils 16th August 2021
At the start of the day
We are very much looking forward to welcoming our new S1 pupils to Coatbridge High School on Monday 16th August. Pupils should aim to arrive at school for 8.45 as the bell for period 1 will be at 8.55. Pupils should report to the bus bay doors at the side of the building, from here they will be directed to their zone (The amphitheatre). Staff and pupils will be on hand to guide pupils in the right direction.
There will be an extended registration period 1. During this time pupils will be issued with a timetable and general information to help them to settle into Coatbridge High School. Pupil guides will be in place to help pupils move around the school between classes and at interval and lunchtime.
Interval and lunchtime arrangements
Pupils will be supervised in their zone at interval and lunchtimes. Pupils will remain in school at the times. Food can be purchased from the school canteen, or they should bring packed lunch. All pupils will be issued with their personal code for the school canteen on Monday morning.
Equipment
Pupils should come prepared with the equipment they need for their day at school. This includes all stationary (pencils, pens, eraser, ruler etc) and their PE kit on the days they have Physical Education (from Tuesday 17th August). Pupils are also expected to wear a face covering in school as outlined by the Scottish Government unless they are exempt on medical grounds.
