The role of the Pupil Support staff is to get to know our young people and their parents well in order to be able to offer support to them and their families. They offer advice on curricular matters and provide pastoral support for a number of different issues.
Pupil Support Teachers and Pupil Support Mentors are a parent’s first point of contact with regards to queries relating to a pupil they are available to meet with parents by appointment or can be contacted by telephone. If they are not available at the time please leave a message with the school office and they will phone back as soon as possible.
Pupil Support staff link with external agencies to provide support and guidance to our young people these include Skills Development Scotland (SDS), Educational Psychology, CAMHS, TeenTalk Youth Counselling Service and Social Work.
