Rosie Little visited our class to demonstrate the technique involved in creating different tones of felt from wool. We started by layering the wool horizontally and then vertically and finally covered the material with bubble wrap. The next step involved applying pressure to the layers whilst sprinkling with water and fairy liquid. We then rinsed the soapy mixture out from the material and rolled with a rolling pin. The final product will be cut into poppies and made into hair clips and brooches to sell as part of our social enterprise company “In Poppies We Trust.” Thank you to Mr Semper for helping us design our swish business cards for our venture!
