We went outdoors and brainstormed ideas for how we should behave in class. After that we worked in groups to select the 3-5 things we thought were the most important. From this we agreed upon a set of class rules and have all committed to them by signing.

This year we were visited by the MAC Adventure Course. This was to help us raise money for the school funds. We had a great time.

For our topic we made gas masks. We used card, cellophane, elastic and bubble wrap. Can you guess who this is?

We are studying World War 2. We have found out when the war started and why. We have listened to an air raid siren and have made gas masks during technology. Josh Lang brought an original World War 2 soldier’s uniform in to school. It was very heavy. We think it is made from wool.

Our Shared Plan For This Term

Welcome to Primary 7’s blog. Our class teacher this year is Miss Hendrie. We have settled in well after our holiday and are working hard. We started our new topic, World War 2, and have been finding out some interesting facts about when the war started and the countries involved. We have also been designing propaganda posters. Our class novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.

Other topics for this year will include Robert Burns, Adventure Holiday Camp and Electricity and Magnetism.

We will be given the opportunity to spend a 5 day residential week at Kilbowie in Oban. We will learn new skills there, including abseiling, canoeing, mountain biking and skiing. This will take place in March.
