We are studying artist Georgia O’Keefe’s work in class. Georgia O’Keeffe was a 20th century American painter best known for her flower canvases and southwestern landscapes. She was born in 1887 and died in 1986. Some of Georgia’s popular works include Black Iris (1926) and Oriental Poppies (1928). Our study of World War 2 has provided us with the opportunity to draw and paint Poppies, the symbol of remembrance. We have visited the allotment to look at the poppies growing there. We have used pencil and shading to draw poppies and will soon be painting poppies using watercolours. When they are completed we will post some on our blog for you to see.
I love drawing the poppies I also like the project/topic World War 2
It is lovely to see you enjoying the allotment and studying the poppies as this links nicely to your WW2 topic and your study of Georgia O’Keefe. I look forward to seeing your pictures:)
Lovely pictures of the poppies 🙂
