Keeping in touch with Dawud

One of our classmates is visiting another country for a period of time. We have set up this post for him to contact us and to tell us all about the culture that he is experiencing.

If we recieve any photo’s we will post them here and you can add comments and ask questions for Dawud to answer.

We hope that you are having a fabulous time and we look forward to you sharing all of your experiences.

Fairtrade Breakfast – Sit Down for Breakfast, Stand up for Farmers

We held a very successful Fairtrade breakfast on Tuesday 16th February and we were very well supported by our friends and community.

Before our breakfast we shopped locally for Fairtrade products and placed posters in the community to advertise our event.

We then made muffins to sell and were very lucky to receive donations from Percol coffee and Scotmid to buy many of our products.

Everyone enjoyed tea, coffee, toast, bananas, muffins and the chance to buy Fairtrade chocolates. We had a really lovely morning, with a great atmosphere and we thank all for supporting us both in attending and making donations.

We look forward to seeing you again at our Fairtrade assembly, 2pm Wednesday 2nd March.

Outdoor Learning – Science

We had great fun taking our learning outside to investigate science in the natural environment.

We used the puddles in the playground to prove evaporation throughout the day.  We chose  puddles, drew chalk round them and measured the diameter. Then we revisited the puddles several times throughout the day, as the puddles evaporated we draw chalk around the new size and measured again. By the end of the day some of our puddles had completely evaporated.

Excellent work Primary 6.
