We investigated which materials would work best as an insulator.   We wrapped one cup with various materials and left the other without.  We had to measure the temperature of the water at the beginning, and again after 10 minutes.  All of the insulated cups had warmer water at the end – tin foil was the best insulator!

We mummified some dolls.  We wrapped them in wet toilet roll, let them dry and then bandaged them! We even included amulets!

Our class now looks like the entrance to a tomb!

We hope that the mummies stay inside the class!

We made ourselves into mummies using toilet roll! We had great fun and made a lot of mess!

For homework we designed and created our own 3D pyramids.  We looked at the shapes needed to make the pyramids.

We even had some cakes! They were delicious!

Well done Primary 3 – you have all worked so hard!

We had to try build our own Egyptian pyramid.
We used sugar cubes and then we used pasta and marshmallows!

We created our own Egyptian jewellery using paper plates.
We added pasta and string before painting them gold and then added bright colours.

We wore tartan clothing and performed at our joint school assembly!
